Principal clarinet of the Mozarteum Orchestra
Studied at the University of Music in Vienna with Professors Peter
Schmidl, Johann Hindler and Ernst Ottensamer.
Final examinations absolved with academic honors.
Postgraduate studies at the University of Music Mozarteum with Professor
Alois Brandhofer.
Active as substitute at the Vienna State Opera and with the Vienna
Philharmonic Orchestra during his student
years.
Temporary engagements as solo-clarinetist with the Berlin Philharmonic,
the Deutschen Sinfonieorchester Berlin and the
Gürzenich Orchestra, Cologne.
Regular appearances as guest soloist with the Camerata Salzburg.
Numerous solo activites with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the
Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Philharmonic
Orchestra in southern Westphalia, the Salzburg Chamber Orchestra, the
Sinfonietta Shizuoka and the Sinfonietta da
Camera Salzburg as well as at many international festivals such as the
Salzburg Festival, Festival International de Galicia, Festival
Mozart Nantes, Mozart Festival Kanizawa,
European Concert Summer Aspach, and the International Salzkammergut
Festival.
lntensive work with various chamber groups such as: Salzburg Solisten,
Mozarteum Quartet Salzburg, Henschel Quartet
Munich, Ensemble Octogon and many others. Founder of the chamber music
ensemble "salzburg classical quintet" and "bassetto salzburg" (a
bassett horn trio).
Chamber music appearances within the framework of the International
Salzburg Mozart Week as well as with the
Carinthian Summer, the Beethoven Festival in Bonn, the Palao de la
musica, Barcelona, etc.
Concert tours in Japan, the USA, South America and in many European
countries.
Jazz concerts with the Ensemble MO-Jazz and the Ferdinand Steiner
Electric Band.
